Frequently asked questions
Do I need special hardware to use it?+
No. Olbongo POS runs on the phone you already have and on the web — the product grid, barcode scan and payments all work on a normal smartphone. Add a thermal printer if you want printed receipts, but a shareable PDF works out of the box.
Which payment methods can I accept?+
Cash, M-Pesa, Airtel Money, Tigo Pesa, or Credit. You record how the customer paid as part of closing the sale, and it flows straight into your reports.
How does multi-branch inventory work?+
Each branch has its own live stock balances. You can move goods with inter-branch transfers that the receiving branch accepts and receives, record stock in, out and adjustments, and resolve any discrepancies — all from the app.
Can I control what my staff can see and do?+
Yes. Roles are granular, permission by permission, and can be scoped per location — so a cashier at one branch only sees and does exactly what you allow.
Do my online orders show up in the POS?+
They do. Orders placed from your Woza storefront flow into the POS for fulfilment and decrement your stock automatically, so your in-store and online inventory stay in sync in real time.
